Through the early sixties in San Francisco the pipe collecting ocean salt water for Steinhart Acquarium jutted into the Pacific at Ocean Beach. I loved the strong shapes contrasting to the water and sky. I took many photos there. On this excursion I saw these sisters teasing the surf by clinging to an access ladder as the surf rolled in beneath their feet.
