Narcissus

Narcissus, in Greek mythology, was so entranced by his reflection in a pool that he became tranfixed. Unwilling to leave such beauty he died there. A flower, 'Narcissus' now named after him, grew in the spot where he died.

Material: Steatite commonly called soapstone, relatively soft, can be sculpted with ordinary metal tools: files, rasps, chisels etcetera which makes it popular as a sculpture material.
